Blyth has a host of local amenities featuring a fine church , St Mary and St Martin. The village hall is a hive of activity and is well supported by many village events. Just opposite in the centre of Blyth there is a fine village green where one of its hostelries the White Swan is situated. There are a further three public houses and a restuarant in the village all providing high quality food, whilst on the outskirts there is a well respected hotel catering for all needs.

There is a newly refurbished Co-op and post office and for something different there is an excellent craft and gift shop. There is also a doctors surgery and a recently opened dental clinic.

For the sporting enthusiasts Blyth has an active cricket team, a bowling green and snooker tables in the village hall.
